Bring our popular 'Together, We Rock!' intergenerational art event to your location
Community & senior centers and adult living communities:
We are happy to plan, host and facilitate an interactive rock painting event at your facility that brings together older adults and youth.
This event is comprised of 2 components:
1. Facilitation of intergenerational conversation among small groups of adults and youth (45 minutes)
2. Painting of the rocks (45 minutes)

Simsbury Rocks 2020: An Intergenerational Art Program
We rolled out an adventure for the Simsbury, CT community in celebration of the town's 350th Anniversary in 2020. A town-wide scavenger hunt for all ages took place beginning July 22, 2020. Multiple intergenerational gatherings took place from November, 2019 through March, 2020 during which Simsbury Girl Scouts (and other youth groups) and older adults painted 350 rocks. We connected more than 230 community members during these five months!
** 100% of the older adults surveyed agreed that they experienced a sense of satisfaction from interacting with the youth.
For All Ages placed the rocks in public places throughout Simsbury. We invited people to post pictures on the For All Ages facebook or tag our instagram page when they found a rock. Each rock had a number on the bottom and certain numbers enabled the finder to win a local restaurant gift card. Hundreds of people of all ages participated.
