Thank you to our community of card makers for the holiday cards that you made with care and kindness. You spread joy to nearly 1,000 older adults this holiday season!
We've finished our holiday card deliveries and are now accepting Valentine's Day and general occasion cards to bring joy throughout the winter.
In direct response to quarantining during the Covid-19 crisis, we began partnering with the Simsbury United Methodist Church and First Church of Christ, Simsbury to bring this program to Simsbury, CT. And in June, 2020, the Simsbury Public Library joined as a Project partner.
Now, we've begun to expand the Joyful Notes Project to additional greater Hartford towns!
Local youth - along with community members of other ages across CT and neighboring states - create handmade greeting cards that we quarantine for 72 hours and deliver to local older adult living communities.
As a community, we are bringing joy to isolated older adults and mitigating their feelings of loneliness.
We have delivered cards to:
We invite everyone, regardless of where you live, to participate in making Joyful Notes. Anyone interested is welcome to make cards at home (if including envelopes, please leave them unsealed), place them together in a larger envelope, and mail them to us at: For All Ages, P.O. Box 61, Simsbury CT 06070.
We will ensure that they are delivered to older adult residents in the Farmington Valley and greater Hartford areas.

I was having a rough day and this was the perfect unexpected surprise!" - Linda P.
