Now accepting general cheer cards!

  • Thank you to our community of joy creators for the cards that you continue to make with care and kindness. You have spread joy 10,000+ times to older adults to date!
  • We are now accepting general cheer cards.

Joyful Notes Project

We launched this project during the pandemic to combat loneliness and isolation of older adults in central CT. Over the past year, the program has grown and we continue to expand the Joyful Notes Project to additional towns across CT!

People ages 3-93 are hand creating greeting cards that we deliver to local older adult living communities.

As a community, we are bringing joy to isolated older adults, mitigating their feelings of loneliness, and letting them know that someone is thinking of them.

We have delivered cards to:

  • Anthology of Farmington residents, Farmington CT
  • Anthology of Simsbury residents, Simsbury CT
  • Avon Health Center residents, Avon CT
  • Belden Forest Court residents, Simsbury CT
  • Duncaster residents, Bloomfield CT
  • Farmington Senior Center members, Farmington CT
  • Federation Home residents, Bloomfield CT
  • Florence Mill Apartments, Vernon CT
  • Governor's House residents, Simsbury CT
  • Hamilton Park Apartments, Norwich CT
  • McAuley residents, West Hartford CT
  • McLean Life Plan Community independent and assisted living residents, Simsbury CT
  • Meals on Wheels recipients living at home, Simsbury CT
  • The Residence at Brookside residents, Avon CT
  • Residents of the Virginia Connolly Residence, Simsbury CT
  • Rocky Hill Senior Center, Rocky Hill CT
  • Seabury residents, Bloomfield CT
  • Simsbury Senior Center grab and go lunch recipients, Simsbury CT
  • St. Mary Home residents, West Hartford CT
  • Sullivan Senior Center grab and go lunch recipients, Torrington CT
  • Various older adult residents, Rocky Hill CT
  • Wallingford Housing Authority residents, Wallingford CT
  • West Hartford Senior Center grab and go lunch recipients, West Hartford CT
  • Wethersfield Housing Authority residents, Wethersfield CT
  • Westerleigh residents, Unionville CT

If you are employed at a central Connecticut adult living community or senior center and would like the opportunity to receive cards to distribute to older adults, please contact us using the form below.

Everyone, young and old, is invited to participate virtually in the Project!

We invite everyone, regardless of where you live, to participate in making Joyful Notes. Anyone interested is welcome to make cards at home (if including envelopes, please leave them unsealed), place them together in a larger envelope, and mail them to us at: For All Ages, P.O. Box 61, Simsbury CT 06070.

(If you are local to Simsbury, CT, you may drop your cards in the bin outside the children's entrance of the Simsbury Public Library.)

We will ensure that they are delivered to older adult residents in the greater Hartford, CT area.

I'm interested in receiving cards to give to older adults.
